Merced group gets new tool to combat graffiti

Above, Graffiti supervisor Rafael Billar, left, and Jim Sanders, check out the new high-tech Tagbusters trailer and its contents Wednesday afternoon. The trailer is equipped with a heavy-duty airless sprayer, heavy-duty pressure washer with water heater and a 125-gallon water tank. Merced City Councilman Sanders heads the Merced Community Action Network, a nonprofit group that fights graffiti around Merced. Below, Billar tries out the heavy-duty airless sprayer from the new high-tech Tagbusters trailer. The trailer and its contents, which was donated by builder Ranchwood Homes, are valued at $12,000.
