Deputies raid house on suspicion of drug sales

ATWATER -- Four people were arrested on suspicion of drug charges Tuesday afternoon after a search warrant was served at an Atwater Boulevard apartment, according to Merced County Sheriff's Department reports.

Deputy Paul Barile, department spokesman, said 11 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of about $500, three grams of marijuana and packaging material consistent with street-level drug sales were seized in the 8 a.m. raid in the 1800 block of Atwater Boulevard.

Barile said the arrests followed tips received about drug trafficking going on in the area. The arrests were a joint effort of the Merced Multi-Agency Narcotics Task Force and the department's County Methamphetamine Enforcement Tracking Team.

Suzie Dotsun, 41, of Atwater was arrested on suspicion of sales of narcotics, maintaining a place where narcotics are sold or used and child endangerment. Dotsun was booked into Merced County Jail where she remained Wednesday night in lieu of $85,000 bail, according to a correctional official.

Andrew Roggero, 35, of El Nido was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics for sale and being in a place where narcotics are used or sold. He remained in Merced County Jail on Wednesday night in lieu of $15,500 bail, according to a correctional official.

A 34-year-old Atwater woman was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of being in a place where narcotics are used and sold, being under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. A 20-year-old Merced man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of being in a place where narcotics are used or sold, Barile said.

A Child Protective Services employee accompanied officers and a 12-year-old boy at the apartment was turned over to family members.
