An elderly woman was injured when a home in the the 1000 block of Livingston-Cressy Road burned late Sunday.
Firefighters responded to the scene at about 10 p.m. to find the home fully engulfed in flames.
The woman suffered second-degree burns to her face and was taken to a hospital, according to Capt. Danny Suarez. Her condition wasn’t known late Sunday. Officer Zeus Baldevia with the Livingston Police Department also suffered minor burns to his hands while pulling the woman out of the burning house, according to Sgt. Ray Fong of the Livingston department.
The cause of fire is still being investigated.
There were three people in the house at the time of the fire. The two other resident were not hurt.
