A roundtable discussion on job creation and economic growth is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Castle Commerce Center.
The discussion will include business owners, residents, state and local officials, union members, nonprofit organizations community leaders, and economists. Participants will discuss steps that can be taken to grow the economy and create jobs in rural areas.
Topics will include exploring ways to rejuvenate and promote local businesses, creating jobs by rebuilding infrastructure, creating new opportunities from existing ones and supporting job growth among small businesses.
The forum is being presented by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Merced County Department of Commerce, Aviation and Economic Development. It will be held at Castle Commerce Center’s Conference Center located at 1900 Airdrome Entry in Atwater.
