Police are still looking for people connected to a shooting that damaged a parked car in the 700 block of Olivewood Drive early Friday morning.
Several shots were fired at around 1 a.m. in the quiet residential neighborhood. When officers arrived on the scene they found a 2004 Toyota Scion that had a bullet hole in the rear window and several bullet casings near the intersection of Olivewood Drive and Sandalwood Court, police said.
A suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan before police arrived, police said.
Merced Police Detective Sgt. Scott Skinner asked witnesses to the shooting to contact him at (209) 385-4702 or the tip line at (209) 385-4725.
