The American Red Cross said its Merced branch is now open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The organization also said it expanded its class offerings at the chapter. It now offers night and weekend courses in CPR and first aid, as well as California Childcare, CPR for the professional rescuer with a 2-year CPR certification, instructor trainings and health and safety courses designed to meet the state ESMA requirements.
The organization said its classes meet OSHA standards and are available in both English and Spanish.
If you have a group of 10 or more people, the Red Cross said it could bring the class to you and offer flexible scheduling.
"You pick the time and date, and we provide the rest all while providing the same quality as the training that takes place at our chapter," the Red Cross said in a news release.
A final option in its flexible training schedule is to take a course online at your convenience, then schedule a skills test session at your convenience at the chapter office.
The Merced office is located at 301 W. 18th Street.
