The Merced County Arts Council said it would introduce three artists, each exhibiting their own show Aug. 3 – Oct. 4.
A reception will be held Thursday, Aug. 12, from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center. Regular gallery hours are Monday – Friday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Entrance to the galleries and the reception are free and all are welcome to attend.
Diego Rios, a Fresno native, studied law and received his CPL at the University of San Francisco. Rios is a attorney in San Francisco. He will make art demonstrations at the ArtsMerced! Festival Saturday, Oct. 2.
Gary Cawood’s exhibit, “Excavation,” began in 2006. Cawood began working with landscapes that were excavated long ago. He’s a professor and director of photography at University of Arkansas, Little Rock. He is a member of Society for Photographic Education, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Sierra Club and the Nature Conservancy.

Pam Brekas’ show is titled “For Brekas.” She’s a credentialed teacher in both Nevada and California has been a photography lecturer on cruise ships.
