Father Raul Flores of Livingston ordained by Cardinal Mahony

Rev. Father Raul Armando Sanchez Flores of Livingston was ordained a priest for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fresno on June 4 at St. John Cathedral in Fresno by Roger Cardinal Mahony. On June 5 Father Raul celebrated his “Cantamisa,” his first solemn Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Livingston with more than 800 in attendance, including his parents and 20 family members from Mexico.
Father Raul is a native of Sataya, Sinaloa, Mexico. He attended the Seminario Hispano de Santa María de Guadalupe in México City. During that time he served a two year ministry at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Father Raul then attended Mount Angel Seminary at Saint Benedict, Oregon, where he graduated in May as a Master of Divinity.
Father Raul has been assigned to St. Anthony Catholic Church in Reedley where he will serve as parochial vicar.
