About 300 Merced residents were without power for most of the day Sunday while Pacific Gas & Electric Co. crews worked on infrastructure upgrades.
Jana Morris, spokeswoman for PG&E, said residents lost power about 10 minutes before
7 a.m. Sunday. The power was restored to the affected residents by
4:30 p.m., she said.
Never miss a local story.
"They (the residents) received notifications in the mail letting them know that we were going to be doing this work," she said. Most of the residents without power were in the South Merced area, Morris said.
