DELHI -- A Delhi man was arrested after teens who burglarized his home found more than 30 CDs with images of child pornography and contacted the Merced County Sheriff's Department.
Kraig Stockard, 54, reported the Sept. 12 burglary at his home in the 13000 block of El Capitan Way. Later, the teens who burglarized the home contacted the sheriff's department after they attempted to create music discs and discovered the pornographic images. More than 30 of the 50 CDs had child pornography pictures on them, according to a news release.
On Monday Sheriff's detectives Jose Sanchez and John Mussotto served a search warrant at the home.
After detectives served the search warrant, three more computers and three laptops were seized, as well as several external hard drives. It's unknown how much more pornography Stockard might possess, but the news release said there were thousands of pictures and movies on the CDs.
Stockard admitted to possessing the pornography but wouldn't admit to how much, if any, were on the computers and laptops, according to the news release. Investigators said he'd been downloading child pornography since 2004.
He was booked for possession of child pornography and has already made the $25,000 bail. The teens who found the pornography have not been arrested on suspicion of the burglary, but the case has been forwarded to the Merced County District Attorney's office for review.
