The Merced Community College District is in the process of redistricting its trustee areas using newly available 2010 U.S. census figures. Redistricting is a process in which trustee area populations are equalized and their boundaries are adjusted in compliance with applicable state and federal law. The District is required to go through the redistricting process every 10 years following the completion of the U.S. census. The community can access current redistricting documents by visiting http://www.mccd.edu/news_events/news/redistricting_2011/index.html.
