No major injuries were reported in two vehicle crashes reported within minutes of each other Thursday morning near Highway 140 and Arboleda Drive.
One crash involved a big rig and two cars. The other crash involved a train and a car, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The first crash was reported about 10:30 a.m. A Chevy van and Chevy Impala had halted at a stop sign on eastbound Highway 140 at Arboleda. Meanwhile, the driver of a flatbed big rig was traveling east on Highway 140, but failed to stop at the intersection in time.
The big rig crashed into the back of the Impala, which then crashed into the back of the van. Several people were injured but none seriously, according to Officer Ed Macias, CHP spokesman.
About 10 minutes later, a train was traveling east. A white BMW traveling north on Arboleda stopped at the tracks, but moved forward as the crossing arms began coming down.
"For some reason, the driver was unable to move the vehicle and was struck by the train," Macias said.
The train struck the front of the BMW, but the female driver wasn't seriously hurt.
DUI isn't believed to be a factor in either crash.
