The Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County and KCSOS Building Healthy Communities/Building Health Youth AmeriCorps members will work in McNamara Park Oct. 22 as part of Make a Difference Day.
The groups will host the cleanup for Make a Difference Day, which is a national day of doing good, when the entire community is encouraged to give themselves and their time.
Individuals and groups from most all age ranges are welcome to take part in the event, and young people are especially encouraged to come. The cleanup efforts will begin at 10 a.m. at McNamara Park. Participants are encouraged to arrive at 9:30 a.m. to register and eat a continental breakfast. The cleanup will last until noon, when lunch will be served to the volunteers. Groups are asked to send a list of their participants to the project coordinator, David Sparks, at email@example.com for pre-registration.
