The Wawona Boy Scout District Visionary Award selection committee announced the winners of the 2011 Visionary Awards.
They are Ralph Busby, retired insurance agent and 40-year partner with Fluetsch And Busby Insurance agency, a charter president for the greater Merced Kiwanis Club and one of the founding members to establish Kiwanis Kiddieland, plus serving on numerous community organizations and committees and served as a scout leader with troop 95;
Eugene Drummond, employed with Merced City Recreation Department as recreation supervisor, and in has served on Breakfast with Santa Committee, Cico de Mayo committee, Martin Luther king parade committee, and numerous community service committees;
Paul Lundber, pastor with Atwater Baptist Church, community leader as director of the Central Valley World Mission, coordinator Merced County Father of the Year, a board member of County Community Action Agency, secretary of Atwater C.A.U.S.E. and other community activities.
The awards luncheon will be held at the Merced Boys & Girls Club Nov. 18 between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. with single seating at $25, a table of four at $90 and a table of eight at $175.
