The Merced County Schools Annual Education Report will be released Saturday as an insert in the Sun-Star and available online.
The report details accomplishments, collaborations and challenges, along with statistical breakdowns of student demographics, and results of state- and federally-mandated testing. MCOE said in a news release.
“The Merced County Schools Annual Education Report will give the community an update on how schools in Merced County are doing. Using the California Department of Education’s similar school rankings, the report compares Merced area schools to other schools often perceived as high performing. The report describes the county school districts’ successes and challenges,” said Merced County Superintendent of Schools Steven E. Gomes. “Our public schools are a part of the community, and it’s our job as educators to show what the community is getting for its investment.”
The report will also be distributed in the Los Banos Enterprise, available at MCOE, 632 W. 13th St., in Merced and at www.mcoe.org/annualreport, which will be a live link this weekend.
The entire cost of the report was sponsored by Stone & Youngberg and the report was designed by Downtown Life Magazine Publisher Tom Price.
