Two 16-year-old males were arrested last week on accusations of breaking into a market in the Hilmar area.
The two juveniles were arrested Thursday for allegedly breaking into the store in the 19000 block of American Avenue and stealing alcohol and a hookah pipe, according to Deputy Tom MacKenzie.
The market had been burglarized on several occasions over the past few weeks and the thieves had gained entry into the building through the roof.
After conducting a follow-up investigation, Deputy Preston Sanchez identified the juveniles as suspects. During questioning, one of the juveniles confessed to the latest burglary, where the liquor and pipe were stolen, but denied the other break-ins.
Three of six stolen liquor bottles were recovered, but the hookah pipe had been smashed prior to the arrests.
The juveniles were booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of burglary.
