SPCA Valentine lunch
The Merced SPCA is having a Valentine luncheon from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 8 at Los Panchos Restaurant, 2971 G St. The meal includes a tostada or enchiladas with rice, beans, drink and dessert for $15. There will be raffle tickets and gift baskets available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the animals at the SPCA shelter, 1021 E. Pancake breakfast for park
An Elks Park Pancake Breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Jan. 19 at the Elks Lodge, 1910 M St. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for children. The meal includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, coffee and orange juice. Bloody Marys and screwdriver cocktails will be available. All proceeds go to support Elks Park.
Cioppino dinner, dance
Buhach Pentecost will be holding its crab cioppino dinner Feb. 8. No-host cocktails will be available from 6 to 7 p.m., and dinner starts at 7 p.m. A dance will follow the meal. This event will be held at the Buhach Hall, 2889 N. Buhach Road. Tickets are $45 for adults and $20 for children. Proceeds from the fundraiser will help Buhach Pentecost maintain its facilities. The annual Merced pancake breakfast fundraiser will be held 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 15. Menu items include heart-shaped pancakes, ham, scrambled eggs, coffee, orange juice and milk. Bring friends, family and sweethearts to this Valentine-themed event. Serving begins at 8:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 500 Buena Vista Drive. Tickets are $7.50 each. Weight loss support group
