Lunch to benefit SPCA
The Merced SPCA will have a Valentine luncheon from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 8 at Los Panchos Restaurant, 2971 G St. The meal is a tostada or enchiladas with rice, beans, drink and dessert for $15. There will be raffle tickets and gift baskets available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the animals at the SPCA shelter, 1021 E. Crab and cioppino
Buhach Pentecost will have its crab and cioppino dinner Feb. 8 at Buhach Hall, 2889 N. Buhach Road. No-host cocktails from 6 to 7 p.m., and dinner at 7. There will be a dance afterward. Tickets are $45 for adults and $20 for children. Proceeds will help Buhach Pentecost maintain its facilities. Memorial dinner, auction
The Dos Palos Lions Club will host the Jiggs Graham Memorial all-you-can-eat crab feed and silent auction with a raffle Feb. 22. Cocktails from 6 p.m. to midnight, dinner at 7:30 p.m. 931 Center Ave., Del Hale Hall, Dos Palos. $45 per person. Dreams Bridal Fair
Dreams Bridal Fair will be at noon, Feb. 23 at the Merced Golf and Country Club. It’s a chance to meet with local reception experts and plan your special day. Tickets are $5 per couple. There will be more than $1,000 in door prizes, refreshments and no-host bar. Proceeds benefit the United Way Root Social Program. Pro-life speech contest
United for Life of Merced County’s annual pro-life speech contest will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Merced Civic Center, Sam Pipes Room.
