Pedrozo town hall comes to Livingston

District 1 Supervisor John Pedrozo will continue his annual town hall community meetings this week with a stop in Livingston tonight.

District 1 Supervisor John Pedrozo will continue his annual town hall community meetings this week with a stop in Livingston tonight.

Pedrozo’s town hall meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the City Council Chambers, 1416 C St. in Livingston.

The final town hall meeting will be held Wednesday in south Merced, according to the meeting schedule.

Town-hall style community meetings are informal public meetings where everyone in the community is invited to attend, voice their opinions and hear responses from county representatives, said Mike North, county management analyst.

“Town hall meetings are important forums that allow members of the public to share concerns, learn about local government and discuss topics that are vital to their communities,” Pedrozo said in a news release.

“Through these meetings, residents have a place where they can ask questions and be heard on issues facing the community. This is one way to voice your opinion, share ideas and have discussions about issues,” Pedrozo’s release said.

Previous town hall meetings were also held in Planada and Le Grand.

Pedrozo said he has coordinated the participation of several Merced County department heads who will be on hand to answer questions or respond to concerns raised by the public. Representatives of Rep. Jim Costa, state Sen. Anthony Cannella and Assemblyman Adam Gray will be invited to hear concerns expressed by District 1 residents.
