The city of Merced is scheduled to hold a Resource Efficiency Fair Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Merced Senior Center, 755 W. 15th St.
People will learn about conservation-related actions that local government agencies, nonprofit groups, schools and businesses are involved in. Thirty-five local exhibitors will share their efforts in water conservation, recycling, energy efficiency, reduced utility bills, and expanded use of transit and bicycling, according to a city news release.
The fair is part of the city’s Climate Action Planning efforts, and will include opportunities for residents to guide local policy and select future projects. In addition to games, activities and booths, people will be able to connect with local leaders and organizations, share ideas and learn how to stay involved in the project.
