The Merced College Foundation will hold the annual State of the College address next month.

Ron Taylor, Merced College superintendent and president, will deliver the address at 11:30 a.m. April 11 at the college’s Allied Health Center, 3600 M St.

The event includes a lunch and presentation of the 2014 President’s Medallion Award, given to a significant supporter of the college.

Merced cardiologist Dr. Hanimireddy Lakireddy is this year’s recipient. Lakireddy’s area philanthropic efforts have included major contributions to the college’s health sciences and scholarship programs, according to a news release.

Guided tours of the Allied Health Center will be given after the program ends. Individual tickets are $50, table sponsorships are $500 for a table of eight and corporate sponsorships cost $1,000.

For tickets or more information, call the Merced College Foundation at (209) 381-6470.
