Falcon Band in concert

The Atwater High School Falcon Band will perform a pops concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the school gym. This is a free event.

Mature Driver class

Merced College Office of Education will have a Mature Driver Improvement class for people 50 and older, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Atwater Community Center, 760 Bellevue Road. Call (209) 381-6540 to preregister or get more information.

‘Heart for Art’

California Retired Teachers Association will present “Heart for Art,” a presentation and discussion of experimental acrylics, an art form focusing on artistic inspiration, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 17 at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center. The program will be conducted by Lisa Gilliland-Viney and Sue Thompson. Lunch at Five-Ten Bistro. In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Irish coffee and corned beef sandwiches will be served. McSwain School is accepting appointments for transitional kindergarten-kindergarten. Registration from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 18 and 19 in the west campus library. Children must be 5 on or before Sept. 1 for kindergarten, or from Sept. 2 through Dec. 2 for transitional kindergarten. Child support help

The Merced County Department of Child Support Services will hold workshops to help parents modify their child support and to explain the Compromise of Arrears Program, assisting those who want to apply for it.
