SPCA adoptions

The Merced Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will host an Adoption Event from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Petco in Atwater, 1230 Commerce Ave. Merced SPCA will have adoptable dogs and cats available as well as information on low-cost pet services. Information about being a volunteer or member also will be provided.

Go-kart races

The Atwater Kart Club will hold Go-Kart Dirt Track Races at 9 a.m. Sunday at the Memorial Speedway, 500 Industry Way. For more information, call (408) 489-9432.

Peripheral neuropathy support

Charity golf tournament

Castle Air Museum will host a Charity Benefit Golf Tournament with registration at 10 a.m. May 12 at the Turlock Golf and Country Club, 10532 Golf Link Road. Merced College’s Office of Continuing Education is offering Mature Driver Improvement classes for those 50 years and older.
