May Friendship Day
The May Friendship Day will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1455 E. Yosemite Ave. There will be a potluck luncheon. ‘Best Little Whorehouse’

The Merced Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will host an Adoption Event from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Petco in Atwater, 1230 Commerce Ave. Merced SPCA will have adoptable dogs and cats available as well as information on low-cost pet services. Information about being a volunteer or member also will be provided.

Castle Air Museum will host a Charity Benefit Golf Tournament with registration at 10 a.m. May 12 at the Turlock Golf and Country Club, 10532 Golf Link Road.
