FFA Spring Plant Sale

Butterfly Day at the Zoo

The Merced Zoological Society will hold Butterfly Day at Applegate Park Zoo from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. There will be an informative talk about butterflies, a display of many varieties of and a release of live butterflies. Call (209) 756-4014 for more information.

50th Los Banos picnic

The 50th annual picnic is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. May 18 at the Los Banos Fairgrounds on F St. Bishop Ochoa and Fr. Mike Lastiri will conduct Mass at 10 a.m.. Kids fish, swim and play

The 15th annual “Kids’ Fish, Swim and Play Day” will be held for children ages 3 to 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 17 at the San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area. Bring a picnic lunch.
