Doctoral candidate presents research on racial disparities in Valley fever

Latino and African American men are more likely to acquire and die from Valley fever, but very little is known as to why. According to Sarah Rios, a doctoral candidate in the sociology department at UC Santa Barbara, a possible explanation as to why these groups are especially vulnerable could be because of the environments they are exposed to.
