Parkinson’s Support Group

Amy Marchini and Mission Gardens will host its monthly Parkinson’s Support Group at 10 a.m. Thursday at 1450 E. 27th St. in Merced. Pharmacist, Trang Nguyen, will be the speaker and will discuss common medications for the Parkinson’s Disease patient. Call (209) 384-3300 to RSVP or for more information.

Courthouse museum trip

The Atwater Baptist Church’s Happy Trails Social Group will visit the Courthouse Museum at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Transportation will be available from the church, at 2124 First St. in Atwater. Lunch will follow at Toni’s Courtyard Café; everyone is invited.

Elk’s Club breakfast

The Elks’ Club will host their monthly Breakfast from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday at 3600 Wardrobe Ave. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children, and includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, orange juice and coffee. Bloody Marys and Screwdrivers will also be available.

Republican business luncheon

The Merced County Republican Women Federated will host their monthly business luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Branding Iron restaurant. The Republican candidates for Merced County sheriff, Board of Supervisors and treasurer-tax collector have been invited. Reservations are required; call (209) 378-2202. Church luncheon

The Atwater Baptist Church will host its monthly Keen-Agers Luncheon at 12 p.m. May 21 at the church, 2124 First St. in Atwater. The speaker will be Roy Johnson of 7 Seas Cruise Company. Call (209) 358-5427 for more information.

Open Cockpit Day

Castle Air Museum will host it’s annual Open Cockpit Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 25 at the museum, at 5050 Santa Fe Drive in Atwater. Tickets are $12 adults, $8 seniors, $5 youths (ages 6 to 17) and under 5 is free. Vintage military planes will be open for viewing, and the event will include a bounce house, children’s activities, helicopter rides, food and much more. Merced dance party

Dance to the music of the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s from 2 to 5 p.m. May 25 at the Merced Senior Center, 755 W. 15th St. Tickets are $8 at the door, and there will be refreshments and door prizes. Call (209) 723-0839 for more information.
