Merced County Fair officials said this week those who’ve entered exhibits must bring their entries to the fairgrounds by the end of this month.
The deadline for ag-horticulture entries is 5 p.m. May 29. Entries will be accepted from noon to 7 p.m. May 30 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 31. The deadline to submit most fair entry forms has already passed, according to a fair press release.
One of the fair’s highlights for many fairgoers is the chance to see their arts, crafts, handiwork, hobbies and other talents displayed at the annual event. “Saluting Our Farmers & Ranchers” is this year’s theme. The fair runs June 11-15.
There are a few exceptions, but most exhibits must be received May 30 and 31. Items will be accepted for divisions including crafts and hobbies, clothing and textiles, preserved foods, fine arts and photography.
For more information about exceptions, call the fair office at (209) 722-1507, refer to the handbook at www.MercedCountyFair.com or check the exhibitors’ handbook. The fairgrounds are at 900 Martin Luther King Jr Way.
Regular hours at the fairgrounds office are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. For more information, call (209) 722-1507, fax (209) 722-3773, email Info@MercedCountyFair.com, go to www.MercedCountyFair.com, or connect on Facebook and follow on Twitter.
