Food Addicts Anonymous

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is a 12-step recovery program that meets every week on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 302 W. K St.

CCW classes

Atwater VFW breakfast

The Atwater Veterans of Foreign Wars has a breakfast the first Sunday of the month and a hamburger night every Wednesday. All proceeds benefits veterans. The VFW is also looking for more members to join. For more information, call (209) 358-7224.

Weight Loss Support Group

The Merced Bariatric Weight Loss Support Group meets 7 p.m. the 15th of each month (unless it is a Saturday or Sunday, in which case the group meets the Friday before) at Mercy Medical Pavilion, 315 Mercy Ave., Third Floor, Classroom A. For more information, call (209) 261-6333.

Stroke Support Group

A local Stroke Support Group is open to anyone that has survived a stroke. Family, friends and caregivers are welcome 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. the second Thursday of every month, Mercy Medical Pavilion, 315 Mercy Ave., Third Floor, Classroom A. Toastmasters meeting

ShakespeareFest auditions

Merced Shakespearefest will hold auditions for its 13th season’s summer play, “Cymbeline,” noon Saturday at Playhouse Merced, 452 W. Main St. More than 15 performers are needed, as well as musicians.
