Dog obedience class
A beginning dog obedience class will start today at 6 p.m. at Applegate Park in Merced. The class teaches basic commands such as sit, down and stay, as well as walking on a loose leash. It is also a canine good citizen class, which tests a dog’s manners. The instructors have more than 20 years’ experience training dogs. The Merced County Board of Supervisors will meet at 10 a.m. today at the county administration building, 2222 M St. The swearing-in of a new public defender is on the agenda.
Women’s Spotlight Network

SCORE is a national nonprofit organization that will provide no-cost counseling to small businesses, and it is joining the Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce to provide this service to anyone.
