IT WAS A BLAST WHILE IT LASTED

Sailing isn’t for everyone but thanks to the Lake Yosemite Sailing Association, more young people learn to love scooting along the water in a nice summer breeze during the organization’s annual sailing camp. In the learn-to-sail program, kids ages 8 to 16 learn the ins and outs of handling a sailboat, from trimming the sails to righting after capsizing. It’s all part of the joy of sailing the association’s instructors share with campers. Although no sailing experience is needed, children must know how to swim. Aspiring young sailors will have to wait until next year to participate because this summer’s camp ended last week.
