Elks Park Breakfast
The Elks Park breakfast is scheduled for 8 to 10 a.m. Aug. 17 at Merced Elks RV Park, 3600 Wardrobe Ave. The breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, orange juice and coffee. Bloody marys and screwdrivers are also available. Donation is $6 for adults and $3 children.
Booster Club event
The Le Grand High School Booster Club will hold a Beach Bash and Class of 1984 reunion at 6 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Vista Ranch and Cellars, 7326 E. Highway 140. Red Cross speaker
The National Association for Uniformed Services, H. Wayne Hein Chapter 18, will meet 10 a.m. Aug. 16 at the Castle Air Museum Banquet Room. Retired women luncheon

Weight loss support

A stroke support group is open to anyone that has survived a stroke. Family, friends and caregivers are welcome. Meetings are 4 to 5:30 p.m. the second Thursday of each month at Mercy Medical Pavilion, Third Floor, Classroom A, 315 Mercy Ave. The next meeting is Thursday.
