Pacheco drops a close one against Ceres High

Close game right up to the end

Pacheco High's girls basketball team dropped a 50-45 league game to Ceres on Thursday in front of a sparse crowd.

The Panthers led 26-19 at halftime, but a 19-6 third quarter put Ceres on top 38-32 heading into the fourth. Pacheco mounted a comeback attempt, but Ceres maintained the gap.

Sam Rodriguez led the Panthers with 19 points and six steals, and Maggie Morales added 12 points and five rebounds.
