DUI checkpoint set for Tuesday

The Los Banos Police Department will be conducting a DUI/drivers license checkpoint on Tuesday at an undisclosed location within the city limits between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. Officers will be stopping drivers passing through the checkpoint and searching for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment and checking for proper licensing. Drivers caught driving impaired can expect jail, license suspension, and insurance increases, as well as fines, fees, DUI classes, and other expenses that can exceed $10,000.
