Early returns show Lunney in lead for Merced County sheriff's race

With 12 of 126 precincts counted, the percentages remain about the same in Merced County's main races.
Pat Lunney leads the sheriff's race with 36.5 percent of the vote, followed by Vern Warnke at 30.2 percent, Frank Swiggart at 26 percent and Jim Soria at 7 percent.
In the Treasurer Tax-Collector race, Karen Adams leads Richard St. Marie 56 to 43 percent.
In the District 3 Supervisor race Tony Dossetti is ahead with 40.6 percent of the vote, followed by Daron McDaniel at 30.2 percent, Linn Davis has 21.5 percent while William Snyder has 7.1. percent.
Measure M, the bond measure for Merced City School District, has 58 percent support, 41 percent against.
