A lightning-caused fire in Yosemite National Park has burned 530 acres near Harden Lake.
Park officials are "managing the fire for ecological objectives," according to park spokeswoman Kari Cobb.
The blaze, called the Slope Fire, was first seen July 25. Moderate smoke is visible along Tioga Road and at O'Shaughnessy Dam at Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, Tuolumne Meadows and surrounding communities near the Big Oak Flat entrance.
The Harden Lake area and the trail to Pate Valley from Harden Lake are closed because of fire activity but the White Wolf trailhead to Pate Valley and Lukens Lake is open.
