Trails near a forest fire in Yosemite National Park have been reopened, according to park officials.
The Harden Lake area and the trail to Pate Valley were reopened after being closed because of the Slope Fire, a lightning-caused blaze that has burned roughly 600 acres.
The park is encouraging hikers to stay on the trails when in the Harden Lake area.
The fire is growing slowly, burning three acres overnight. Yosemite fire crews are monitoring the fire for ecological benefits.
