Atwater police are looking for a man they say robbed a fast-food restaurant Monday night.
About 10:15 p.m., a man entered a Subway sandwich shop at 2810 Shaffer Road and handed an employee a handwritten note demanding money, Lt. Samuel Joseph said. It was not clear what the note said.
The man took about $300 in cash from the register and last was seen heading west on foot.
No weapons were involved and no injuries were reported, authorities said.
The man was described as a white male in his 40s, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 230 pounds. He was wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Atwater Police Department at (209) 357-6396. Tips are kept confidential and callers can remain anonymous.
