A routine traffic stop ended Friday in Atwater with one man in custody after an officer spotted a bag of methamphetamine “in plain sight” inside the car, the Police Department reported.
Keith D. Geiggar, 51, of Atwater was arrested on suspicion of transporting a controlled substance for sale and booked into the Merced County jail, Lt. Samuel Joseph told the Sun-Star.
Geiggar was stopped in a vehicle about 11:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Bellevue Road on a suspected brake light infraction, police said.
