Investigators are looking for a group of suspects who broke windows, mirrors and made dents on seven parked vehicles in northeast Modesto neighborhood early this morning, a police spokesman said.
The vandalism occurred about 4:35 a.m. in the area of Bridgewood Way, Kona Oak Drive and Carson Oak Drive, just northwest of Oakdale Road and north of Sylvan Avenue.
A resident was leaving for work when he saw a group of males vandalizing several vehicles, said Modesto police Sgt. Brian Findlen.
The witness told police the vandals were three white males in their late teens to early 20s. The vandals were last seen leaving in an older-model orange car that appeared to be a Datsun 280Z or a similar vehicle.

Findlen said the damage was done with large rocks and other physical force, possibly kicking the vehicle.He said its appears the vandals targeted vehicles randomly.
