Info: Catholic Charities, a group that provides support services to seniors throughout Stanislaus County, is offering training for ombudsman volunteers. Volunteers investigate and resolve complaints, including reports of elder abuse and neglect, and advocate for quality of life and quality of care on behalf of residents in long-term care facilities. All volunteers complete a 36-hour training course, are certified by the California Department of Aging and receive on-the-job guidance from trained staff. CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Info: The seventh annual Kevin Burnett Memorial Golf Tournament is open to golfers over 18, with an optional buffet dinner, silent auction and drawings for prizes.
