The Sac-Joaquin Section volleyball playoff picture began to come into focus on Monday with the release of the section's halfway-point power ratings.
The power ratings, determined by league and team playoff performances over the past three seasons, are used to set up next month's section playoff brackets and serve as a preview of how teams will be seeded.
The The top 16 in each division advance to the playoffs and here is how the Stanislaus District fared:
Division 1: Modesto, well on its way to winning a third consecutive Modesto Metro Conference title, was highest among D1 schools at No. 6. Golden Valley, second in the Central California Conference, was 12th and Enochs, second in the MMC, was 15th.

Division 2: CCC leader Atwater had the highest rating among all district schools at No. 2. Other teams cracking the top 16 were Buhach Colony (fifth), Beyer (ninth) and Pitman (16).
Division 3: Valley Oak League-leading Sonora was ranked fourth and Oakdale, which trails the Wildcats by a game in the VOL standings, was rated No. 6.
Others ranked among the top 16 are Sierra (15th), followed by Central Valley (17th) and Ceres (18th).
Division 4: Eight teams made the top 16, with Trans-Valley leaders Escalon and Ripon at Nos. 3 and 4. Southern League-leading LeGrand was seventh and Western Athletic leaders Central Catholic and Orestimba were eighth and ninth.
Mother Lode League leader Summerville came in at No. 11. Mariposa, a game nehind LeGrand in the SL, was 12th and Calaveras, a half-game behind Summerville in the MLL, was No. 13. On the outside looking in are Linden (17th) and Hilmar (18th).
Division V: Harvest Christian League leader Big Valley Christian was No. 3. Turlock Christian was ninth, Tioga 10th and Ripon Christian 11th.
ORESTIMBA RALLIES TO VICTORY — The Orestimba Warriors overcame a 2-1 deficit to pull out a 3-2 (22-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-11, 19-17) victory over Central Catholic and join the Raiders atop the WAC standings.
Tiffany Nooe had 42 digs and five aces, Carlee Felber recorded 24 assists and Courtney Stettler added eight kills for Orestimba (19-6, 10-1 WAC).
Anne Vient had 35 digs and 10 kills to lead Central Catholic (14-5, 10-1), which also got 21 assists from Kaitlyn Wesenberg.
