Modesto firefighter Jason Clevenger should be at the University of California Medical Center in Sacramento for five more days and is expected to undergo skins grafts today, Battalion Chief Dan Hinshaw said Sunday.
Hinshaw said some of Clevenger's burns are more severe than officials first thought. Clevenger and engineer James Adams were burned in a house fire Jan. 1.
Hinshaw said Adams remains sedated and is being kept unconscious. He suffered third-degree burns on half of his body.
Clevenger suffered burns on about 10 percent of his body.

ost are second-degree but some are third-degree, Hinshaw said.
Clevenger was released from Doctors Medical Center on Wednesday and was transported to the UC Medical Center the same day.
He initially was expected to be there for a couple of days.
