WATERFORD -- A family dispute resulted in a man's death Monday night, the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department said.
The victim was identified Tuesday morning as Tomas Corona, 65, according to Stanislaus County Deputy Coroner Etta Johnson.
Deputies did not disclose the identity of the suspect. That information is expected to be released today.
Deputy Andrew Winter said the Sheriff's Department was called to the scene of a family argument in the 500 block of Stein Way about 6:30 p.m., where they found a group of people struggling to detain a Latino man in his 20s.

Across the street, deputies found Corona lying on his property. They tried to resuscitate him, but he could not be revived.
Winter said it appeared the suspect used a weapon to harm Corona, but he would not identify the type Monday night. He said it was not a shooting.
"We're still figuring out if it's blunt trauma or a stabbing," he said.
The suspect was taken to a Modesto hospital for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries, Winter said. He likely sustained them while struggling with the neighbors who detained him, Winter said.
