INFO: The Central Valley Democratic Club will hold a meeting featuring guest speaker Marjorie Irons. It also is collecting new or gently used blankets for the homeless and shoes for school-age children. Please bring items to the meeting. The program begins after dinner.

BIKE DONATIONS

WHERE: Mark Twain Junior High School, 707 S. Emerald Ave.

INFO: Mark Twain Junior High is running a program called "Earn a Bike." The school needs donations of gently used bikes, helmets, bike locks and cash. To earn a bike, students must volunteer 20 school days helping clean up around the campus, behaving well and earning passing grades. To make a donation, contact Curtis King at 985-5814.

to 7 p.m.; Jan. 30, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

INFO: Friends of the Turlock Public Library will hold its annual winter used-book sale. Friends memberships will be sold at the door. Sale proceeds will benefit library children's programs, furniture, periodical subscriptions, book acquisitions and more. For more information, call 632-4692.
