Michael Dukakis, former governor of Massachusetts and the 1988 Democratic Party nominee for president, will lecture on health care Monday during a 90-minute event at the University of the Pacific in Stockton.
Dukakis, 76, has spent two decades lecturing and writing about political leadership in health care policy in the United States and is considered one of the foremost experts in the field. The lecture will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Faye Spanos Concert Hall. It is free and open to the public.
Questions will be taken from the audience during part of the lecture. Dukakis was defeated by George H.W. Bush.
