The Mistlin Gallery will stay downtown at least two years.
The Central California Art Association announced recently that it signed a two-year lease with the landlord, Civic Partners.
The art association nearly closed the gallery in August because it couldn't pay the rent. Doris Scanlon, the art association president, said the group has cut expenses and was able to raise more money from key donor Tony Mistlin and members.
The gallery now is run solely by volunteers.
