The Modesto City Council is scheduled today to vote on:
Awarding a contract of up to five years and $230,380 to AM PM Farms of Crows Landing for discing and flail mowing services.
Accepting a $469,176 state grant for the Stanislaus Drug Enforcement Agency to combat major drug trafficking and manufacturing.
Approving a contract of up to $79,761 with URS Corp. of San Francisco to design a well in the Tivoli area.
Also, the council is scheduled to meet in closed session to discuss acquiring property at 3936 Dale Road for right turn lane improvements at the intersection of westbound Sylvan Avenue to northbound Boyce Lane. The council also will discuss a lawsuit filed in San Joaquin County Superior Court -- McFadden Construction v. City of Modesto -- and a lawsuit filed by a woman whose son drowned at Dennett Dam.
The Modesto City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the basement chamber of Tenth Street Place, 1010 10th St.
