Ceres police arrested three men after a high-speed pursuit through town Friday night. According to Sgt. Allen McKay, officer Jason Brock spotted a speeding 1991 Honda Accord at 10:17 p.m. near Central Avenue and Service Road. He tried to pull the driver over, but the person sped off. The car led police down Hatch Road and across Crows Landing Road at speeds up to 90 mph. The chase led to the 1400 block of Glen Avenue, where the car rammed a patrol car, went through a chain-link fence, a yard and another fence before coming to a stop. Three of the four occupants ran; the fourth, a juvenile, surrendered to police. He was not arrested. Police, with help from the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department, chased and caught the other three. Arrested on felony charges, including evading and resisting arrest, were Dario Rios, 19, David Madrigal, 20, and Miguel Silva, all of Modesto. Rios, the driver, also faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon in the hitting of the patrol car.
