An intoxicated man has died after being struck by a pickup late Saturday in Oakdale, police reported. Oakdale resident Michael Harrell, 48, had a blood alcohol level of more than 0.30 percent, said Sgt. Keri Redd. He was not in a crosswalk when he was struck about 10:17 p.m. on the 1100 block of West F Street, according to a news release. The release said there was no evidence the driver violated any vehicle codes. Harrell suffered major injuries and was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He was placed on life support but was not expected to survive. His family removed him from life support and he succumbed to his injuries, Redd said Sunday evening.
