The Modesto City Council on Tuesday voted 7-0 to:
Direct city staff to submit an application to Google Inc. asking the company to consider Modesto as a test city for Google's ultra high-speed Internet access. The city must formally apply for the competition.
Order judicial foreclosure proceedings against homeowners that are delinquent in paying special taxes in a tax district in Village I, a northeast Modesto subdivision. As of Jan. 20, seven homeowners were delinquent in paying the special taxes, which help pay for roads, storm drains and other infrastructure.
Approve a plan for spending state funds and stimulus money for street repairs throughout the city.

Authorize a $3 million contract with Dokken Engineering of Folsom to design and plan the reconstruction of the Pelandale Avenue interchange on Highway 99.
The council met in closed session to confer with representatives from the city's employee unions.
